Jimmy obtained his law degree from University of Indonesia. Jimmy has served several multinational companies during his initial three years working period It gave him a lot of experience to handle compliance matter, foreign direct investment and licenses. In 2010, he started his professional career in a prominent law firm specializing in oil & gas industry. During his professional career, he experiences in drafting contract and legal opinion regarding specific legal issues encountered by client, performing legal due diligence to support client with legal data analysis for conducting corporate action, representing client in a contract negotiation, dispute resolution both non-litigation and litigation before Indonesia national court or arbitration. Throughout his career, he has advises Indonesia oil.

During his professional career, he has experienced in several projects among others :

  • Assist Indonesian authorities in preparing draft of laws and regulations particularly in oil and gas industry;
  • Assist PSCs contractor in tender process in compliance with SKK Migas working guidelines;
  • Providing legal opinion to Indonesian PSCs contractor concerning interpretation and implementation of PSC and other legal issues occurred in the oil and gas operation;
  • Perform legal due diligence prior the participating interest (PI) and share acquisition;
  • Provide legal analysis for Korean EPC Company for its plan to enter Indonesian Market;
  • Advising regional owned enterprise concerning its cooperation with investor/financier in regard with the management of 10% Indonesian participant;
  • Preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts for Indonesian oil and gas state owned enterprises and other PSCs contractors, such as Oil and Gas Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements, Unitization and Unit Operating Agreements, Facility Sharing Agreements, Farm in Agreements, Engineering Procurement Construction Installation Agreements, Seismic/ drilling/ vessel/ fixed wing agreements, Principle of Agreement for the field development of Liquid Natural Gas, Operational Cooperation Agreement (KSO), Technical Assistance Contract, Enhanced Production Cooperation Agreement, Old Wells Work-over Contracts, Gas Sale Agreements, Partnership Agreements, and other contracts;
  • Providing legal services to several investment funds of some major investment companies in terms of its dissolution and liquidation;
  • Representing clients in private law dispute before Indonesia national court, Indonesia National Arbitration Body (BANI) and International Arbitration for various complex legal matters;
  • Advising and assisting vessel and a construction company in conducting acquisition;
  • Secondment as legal counsel at several oil and gas company in Indonesia, to support its legal department.
  • Preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts for Indonesian electricity state owned enterprises, such as Power Purchase Agreement, Gas Sales Agreement, Gas Transportations Agreement, Regasification Facility Agreement;
  • Assisting Indonesian electricity state owned enterprises in:
  1. implementing energy transition program;
  2. preparing proposal for several drafts of regulation particularly in renewable power generation sector;
  3. Gasification of Power Plant Project

Adhesa graduated from the Faculty of Law of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia in 2010, and obtained his Master’s Degree from the Faculty of Law of Gadjah Mada University in 2017, both focusing on Economic & Business Law. Adhesa has provided legal services since 2010, in several prominent law firms and various practice areas. Adhesa has experienced in assisting clients from various background, such as state-owned enterprise, foreign and domestic companies in energy sector, service companies, shipping companies, general mining companies and individuals. He involved in many projects in energy sector, in particular assisting clients in dispute settlement both before the arbitration and Indonesia national court with various complexity disputes such as EPCI contract, Technical Assistance Contract (TAC),

Refinery Lease agreement, Drilling Contract, Coal Sales Agreement, Infrastructure Lease Agreement, Pre-emptive right of minority shareholder and many others. He also involved as defense attorney on various corruption case for individuals, whether from private sectors or government executives. He also experiences in advising companies regarding risk and mitigation of available actions for managements, whether transaction or policy related issues. Adhesa is actively providing legal knowledge to law undergraduates in several universities, who participates in national moot court competition.

Throughout his career, he has involved in:

  • Acting as the defense lawyer team in several corruption cases for various clients, such as the Director of private company, district attorney, Head & Deputy of a Government Body, Mayor, and the Director of State-owned company;

  • Dispute regarding Pre-emptive rights of a TOLL road company shareholder;
  1. Dispute regarding EPC Contract for Gas Processing Plant, with a total claim of ±USD126,000,000;
  2. Dispute regarding EPC Contract for Gas Turbine Power Plant, with a total claim of ±IDR250.000.000.000;
  3. Dispute regarding EPC Contract for Coal Fired Power Plant, with a total claim of ±IDR3.000.000.000.000;
  4. Dispute regarding EPC Contract for Coal Fired Power Plant, with a total claim of ±IDR800.000.000.000;
  5. Dispute regarding Gas Transportation Agreement, with a total claim of ±USD400,000,000;
  6. Dispute regarding Gas Sales & Purchase Agreement, with a total claim of ±USD12,000,000;
  7. Dispute regarding Technical Assistance Contract (TAC); and
  8. Dispute regarding Joint-Operating Agreement for jack-up rig operation.
  • Representing clients before the Indonesian Court in various civil cases, whether regarding tort or breach of contract;
  • Advising various companies, in a matter of, patent infringement accusation, personal data breach and defamation accusation, lease, operating, & maintenance agreement of an FSRU, push down liability received by a subsidiary company, etc.
  • Assisting in negotiation for EPC Contract, sale & purchase agreement for acquisition, emergency well services, etc.
  • Cooperating with international law firms in advising clients or representing before the arbitration.
