Mellisa is an expert focusing in commercial and corporate matters; she earned her Bachelor of Laws degree, majoring in Business Law from the prestigious University of Indonesia. Prior joining JTAsyer in 2017, Mellisa built a unique industry perspective through her professional experience at leading media and entertainment companies, including O Channel TV, Skymedia Network, and MTV Indonesia. Mellisa has various experience assisting domestic and international clients in navigating Indonesia’s regulatory landscape, and successfully negotiating high-value commercial agreements, among others: power purchase agreements; gas sales agreement for both upstream and downstream transaction; gas transportation agreements; vessel charters; coal sales agreements; hedging agreement for LNG price; and electricity supply agreements. Notably, Mellisa has assisted clients in negotiating gas sales and gas infrastructure development agreement for supporting the expansion of gas distribution across Indonesia with contract value exceeding IDR 1 trillion.
Her practice spans the energy sector, corporate and commercial matters, and entertainment law. She also has played a pivotal role in drafting and advises on mergers and acquisitions, including share sale and purchase agreements, and represents clients in alternative dispute resolution. She also assists clients in securing permits and approvals from key authorities such as the Ministry of Health, the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Industry, regional governments, and other relevant institutions.
Leveraging her background, Mellisa also provides comprehensive legal opinions, and extensive regulatory research relating to energy, media, advertising, and content-related agreements. Her multidisciplinary experience, combined with her commercial mindset and attention to detail, allows her to deliver practical, forward-looking advice tailored to each clients’ business objectives with her professional standing and commitment to the highest standards of legal excellence. Mellisa is a licensed Advocate and a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).
Mohammad Fahruli
Senior Associate
Fahruli obtained his Bachelor of Law from Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Prior to joining JTAsyer Law Firm, he worked at several boutique law firms, and he was involved in general corporate and investment, also litigation and dispute resolution, and employment. During his time in JTAsyer Law Firm, Fahruli is extensively involved in providing legal assistance for a major infrastructure development project which covers the development of gas infrastructure all over Indonesia. In this project, Fahruli assists the client in preparing procurement documents including all the relevant agreements related to joint development activity, construction and services of the offshore and onshore regasification unit. Fahruli is also involved in a subsea gas pipeline development project, in which he prepared the agreements for the
procurement of long lead items such as subsea valve and custody gas metering system, tie-in and crossing agreements. Fahruli also represents clients in negotiating numerous energy sales and purchase agreements, specifically gas and fuel oil sales and purchase agreements, and midstream services such as gas transportation agreements and terminal use agreements. His vast experience has also led him to his involvement in assisting a state-owned enterprise in preparing standardized contracts for goods and services procurement in upstream operations. Fahruli also involved in alternative dispute resolution regarding EPCI contract dispute and Joint-Operating Agreement for jack-up rig operation dispute. Fahruli is a member of Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI).
